Who we are
TRIPSKYWAY runs this website and decides how the personal data collected through it is used.
For any question about your personal data, or to make a complaint, contact us by email at support@tripskyway.com or by phone on +919128446597.
Postal address: 2/73, near Gurudwara, Lalita Park, Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi, Delhi, 110092
You can also use our data rights form.
What we collect and why
We collect only what you type into our forms, plus a few technical details needed to run the site safely.
When you send a trip enquiry, ask for a quote or plan a trip
- What: your name, mobile number and/or email address, WhatsApp number if you give one, the destination, travel dates, number of adults and children, departure city, budget and your message. If you came from an advert or campaign link, its campaign tags and the page you first landed on.
- Also recorded: the IP address and browser details the form was sent from, to stop spam and abuse.
- Why: to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and plan your trip, and to see which campaigns bring enquiries. You give us these details so that we can respond; we do not use them for anything unrelated.
- If you use the step-by-step trip planner with an email address, we send you one confirmation email.
When you apply for a job
- What: your name, email, phone number, cover note and CV, and the IP address and browser details the application was sent from.
- Why: to consider you for the role you applied for. CVs are stored outside the public website and can be opened only by staff accounts that have been given access to job applications.
When you make a data rights request
- The name, contact details and description you give, so that we can find your records, check it is you, and answer.
The email box in the footer
- It takes you to our quote form with your email address filled in. Nothing is stored or subscribed until you send that form.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Strictly necessary (always on): a session cookie that protects our forms and keeps your form entries if something needs correcting, and a cookie that remembers your cookie choice. They contain no information about who you are.
- Analytics (only if you agree): a random visitor number and visit number stored in your browser so we can count visits and see which pages are useful. With them we record the pages you open, the campaign tags of the link you came from, your type of device and browser, and a scrambled one-way code made from your IP address (not the address itself).
Nothing optional runs until you choose. Change or withdraw your choice at any time with (also in the footer). Withdrawing removes the analytics identifiers we stored in your browser. We keep a record of each choice with a random code, not your name or address, so we can show what was agreed.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. It is seen by our own staff who need it, and by these service providers acting for us:
- Our website hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
- Our email provider, which delivers the confirmation email.
- YouTube (Google): traveller story videos show a preview image loaded from YouTube, which lets YouTube see your IP address. The video itself only loads if you press play.
- OpenAI: our staff use an AI writing assistant for website content and to draft holiday packages from supplier documents. Your enquiries and job applications are not sent to it, and requests are made with storage switched off.
Some of these providers may process data outside India. We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Trip enquiries have no fixed deletion date yet: they are kept until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them.
- Job applications and CVs have no fixed deletion date yet: they are kept until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them.
- Website analytics records have no fixed deletion date yet: they are kept until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them.
- Security records (sign-in and activity logs) are kept for at least one year to investigate misuse.
- Records of anyone whose data rights request is still open are kept until we have answered it.
- Data rights requests and our answers are kept as a record of how we handled them.
Before each website software update a backup copy of the database is made, so the update can be undone. Backups are kept privately and are not used for anything else. Usually only the most recent few are kept, so personal data you asked us to delete disappears from them as they are replaced; a backup from an update that failed can be kept longer, until we remove it.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Staff accounts have individual passwords, and roles limit what each account can open; passwords are stored in a form that cannot be read back. CVs are kept outside the public website. Changes made by staff are recorded in an audit trail.
Your rights and how to use them
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, what we use it for and who we have shared it with;
- correct, complete or update it;
- delete it, where we no longer need to keep it;
- withdraw a consent you gave (for cookies, use Cookie preferences);
- look into a complaint about how we handled your data; and
- let someone you nominate act for you if you die or cannot act for yourself.
Use the data rights form or email support@tripskyway.com. Tell us the email address or mobile number you used with us so we can find your records. Before we show or delete anything we will check it is really you, usually by replying to that email address or number. We aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may be able to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children's information
Our forms ask only for the number of children travelling, not their details. Please do not send us a child's personal details (such as names, dates of birth or documents) through this website unless we ask for them to make a booking. If you think we hold a child's details that we should not, tell us through the data rights form.
Changes to this notice
When what we do with personal data changes, we update this notice and its version number and date. If a change affects a choice you made, we will ask you again.
